- Provide leadership in all health matters for NBG-SC/VA.
- Work with local medical providers to source on site medical and health services. Maintain contracts and vendor accountability for these services.
- Develop relationships and connections to outside medical resources that our teammates and company can use when needed.
- Develop, promote, and maintain a divisional health program that supports all health aspects, including occupational, mental, and physical.
- Create awareness campaigns and support services that promote healthy behavior that may impact teammates physical safety during production (i.e. diet and hydration programs for summer months, stretching and pre/post shift preparation, mental and emotional support programs, etc.).
- Represent NBG-SC/VA at Corporate and NBG meetings, training sessions, and plant audits.
- Participate in local organizations and legislative advocacy programs.
- Lead community outreach projects.
- Provide back-up support for the safety department, taking the primary role in teammate medical care in the case of an incident.
- Maintain the division industrial hygiene and hearing conservation program.
- In conjunction with division leadership, assess and create action plans for continuous improvement of teammate ergonomic conditions.
- Develop goals and track performance with respect to the division participation in health.
- Provide health support services to all three of our facilities located in Columbus, GA, Swansea, SC and LaCrosse, VA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Willing and able to travel for up to a week at a time, several times per year for meetings, audits, and training.
- Proficiency with common software including Microsoft Office.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Formal education or certification in an area of health, first responder, or medicine and able to become a certified EMR or above within the first year in the role.
