Basic Job Functions:
The Credit Analyst is primarily responsible for, but not limited to:
- Review customer credit applications and analyze financial statements to determine the level of risk involved with extending credit to a new customer.
- Monitor customer accounts to limit exposure and release shipments as needed for hold accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and communicate with customers on any dated, open items.
- Review accounts daily and provide updates as necessary regarding past due accounts.
- Produce monthly reports and ability to complete month-end closing processes.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with inside and outside customers.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Internal and external applicants will be considered concurrently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA, or CMA.
- Prior credit & collections and/or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience with Oracle or similar ERP system.
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI.
