Role Summary
The Administrative/Recruiting Assistant supports Nueske’s culture and business operations by acting as the initial point of contact for visitors at the Distribution Center/Corporate office. In addition, this role answers incoming calls to the main switchboard and provides administrative support for recruiting and talent acquisition and other corporate functions. This role reports to Call Center Assistant Manager and is a critical customer-facing role for Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats.
Essential Duties include:
Represents the Nueske’s brand by acting as first point of contact for visitors to the Distribution Center and Corporate Offices, including connecting visitors with the appropriate team member or directing to meeting areas and working to resolve any customer issues
Maintains building security by following procedures and controlling access (e.g. monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
Answers and directs incoming calls on the main phone line, including providing appropriate information and directing callers
Processes incoming daily mail/deliveries
Provides administrative support to team members to various functions, including meeting coordination, Company errands, communications, reports, presentations, and travel
Provides support for planning and executing company events
Maintains office supply inventory, including supplies for conference rooms and common areas and coordinates office area maintenance as appropriate
Works closely with the recruiting function and supports hiring via the following:
Collaborates with recruiting to understand and support hiring levels
Coordinates with hiring leaders to schedule candidate interviews
Completes follow-up communications and applicant tracking as a part of the hiring process, including follow-up on outstanding items
Supports and coordinates with scheduling new hires for orientation and onboarding
Creates hourly production offer letters via templates
Provides tracking for team member referral bonuses
Creates new hire communications and onboarding packets
Communicates information on new team members
Completes employment activity and training logs
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
In addition to a high school diploma with at least one (1) year experience in a professional office setting, the following are position requirements:
Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to represent the Company well to internal and external customers

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and interact with in a positive, respective, and proactive manner
