The Role

The Information Assurance Analyst l is responsible for supporting and collaborating with other IA analysts on various IA services and engagements. This position acts as a junior resource for Information Assurance services and client engagements. Responsible for performing work in collaboration with other IA Analysts.

What you'll do

  • Serve as an Information Assurance resource on ongoing engagements and act as a junior level authority for clients.
  • Assist with Security Compliance and Risk Assessments against client Information Security Programs.
  • Assist with engagement scoping and sales activities
  • Act as junior resource for clients during Information Assurance engagements and collaborate on efforts with other Information Assurance Analysts to deliver a thorough and complete assessment or project deliverables.
  • Assist as a junior advisory services analyst in the realms of program development, compliance planning, and authoring of policies, standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for components of Information Assurance security control and risk assessments
  • Other duties as assigned

Your foundation. The requirements for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science or other technical degrees
    • We are always open to proven success and experience in lieu of a degree
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience
    • Knowledgeable about the latest Information Security trends, threats, and technologies and the impacts upon an Information Security Program
    • Proven experience with working on independent engagements as well as within a team setting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and projects
    • Ability to perform effective research and analysis through interviews and document review

    Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:

    • Experience with professional services and delivering on client engagements

    Candidates who have experience and can demonstrate knowledge in the following areas:

    • Security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA
    • Methodology for conducting Information Security Risk Assessments
    • Development of Information Security Policies, Standards and Procedures
