About The Role....
Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing, this position assists in the development of the marketing and communications programs. Responsibilities include creating print content, maintaining inventory of materials including giveaways and apparel, supporting community events, coordinating our charity events, youth financial literacy programs and money talk radio show events, participating in public relations activities as well as supporting marketing promotions and member communications. With the Vice President of Marketing, assists in the execution of the marketing plan for all locations reflecting the Credit Union's strategic goals and approved budget guidelines. Actively works toward the expansion of new business. This position is accountable for achieving various sales behavior and production goals and providing exceptional service at all levels. The expectations of this job are to build member relationships by providing excellent service both internally and externally and marketing products that meet members' needs.
What You'll Do....
- Is knowledgeable about all Credit Union products, services, and policies. Ensures all product information is fully developed and in compliance with federal regulations and credit union policies.
- Assists in the creation of marketing communications that are sales-oriented highlighting the benefits of our products and services and following our branding standards. These materials include, but are not limited to promotional materials, press releases, newsletters, blog content, website pages, telephonic messages, etc.
- Coordinates campaign items including but not limited to printing buck slips, lobby signage, postcards, sending materials as needed to branch ambassadors, giveaways, staff communication, etc. making sure that the campaign items are placed and delivered as planned.
- Coordinates all marketing information for consistency and branding at all branches with regard to printed
materials, signage, and supplies. - Coordinates purchases of giveaway items for member and community events and monitors Systemax inventory and approves orders. Communicates with staff as needed and monitors expenses.
- Negotiates with vendors to purchase giveaways and print marketing materials. Maintains inventory of marketing materials and giveaways including detailed ordering information.
- Creates press releases, blog content, telephonic messages, newsletter content, etc.
- Coordinates Money Talk Radio shows making sure that all materials are provided as needed, communicating with participants so each event runs smoothly working with NuMark staff as needed.
- Coordinates Shred Days making sure that the events are marketed and works with the branch managers and the marketing team to make sure the events are staffed appropriately and run smoothly.
- Coordinates staff contests as needed to help support marketing campaign goals or social media objectives.
- Coordinates member seminars making sure that all materials are provided as needed, communication with participants so each event runs smoothly working with NuMark staff as needed.
- Coordinates charity events and parades working with staff and our charity partners.
- Coordinates the staff apparel stores.
- Coordinates outside photographer activities.
- Acts as a backup for monitoring and posting social media content.
- Acts as a backup for the marketing portion of the monthly statement processing.
- Assists with market research.
- Works with other departments serving on staff committees as needed to help enhance the credit union.
- Assists in researching and monitoring market trends and products for recommending enhancements to NuMark's product and service line.
- Assists supervisor and works with Social Media Specialist and Graphics Coordinator with the creation, development, and integration of all marketing efforts(i.e. product promotions, public relations, NCU Annual Meeting, community events, sales giveaways, credit union shirt ordering, etc.)
- Assists department in making basic updates to internal and external websites as needed.
- Assists with other departments in creating member letters and other materials as needed so the tone and design follows our brand and promotes our product and service benefits and features.
- Participate in ongoing competitive analysis of other marketing efforts, promotions, and service offerings (Industry and non-industry) and help determine strategies to stay competitive, relevant, and engaging.
- Continuously evaluates and revises our current marketing processes to ensure all materials reflect the highest level of quality and accuracy.
- Attends seminars, conferences, and events to enhance knowledge base.
- Responsible for compliance to all BSA policies, procedures, and regulations within area of responsibility and participates on NuMark's compliance committee
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities You'll Need....
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communication with a minimum of one year employment experience.
- Experience in a full-service financial institution is appreciated.
- Knowledge of advertising guidelines and federal regulations relating to marketing to ensure compliance in all marketing activities.
- PC/MAC literate, Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Experience in Photoshop or Illustrator is desirable.
- Must be knowledgeable of Credit Union programs, products, and services.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Organized and pays attention to detail.
- Strong positive interpersonal and communication skills.
