Home Health Aide

Position Summary:

Nurse Care2Go LLC is looking for an experienced and caring home health aide to join our team. We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients homes in accordance with an established care plan. To excel in this role you should have an interest in health care and the ability to work with limited supervision keeping the patient's needs as your top priority.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Supports patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
• Assists patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Helps patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
• Helps family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and reposition the patient.
• Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Provide medication reminders
• Communication in daily log of client's health, well-being, and activities
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and Reliable Vehicle
• Open availability strongly preferred
• Proven working experience as home health aide
• Must complete 2- step Tuberculin test
• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Current CPR certificate (preferred)
• Submit to Criminal Background Check
• Must be 18 years old or older

Job Type: Part-time/ 20-30hrs weekly

General Work hour: Monday- Sunday: All 3 shifts

Compensation: $13.00- $14.00 per hour/Paid weekly/10 hours of paid training
