What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN position at NurseLab?
A licensed vocational nurse duties include collecting vital information from patients, gathering information about health complaints and relevant data to the patient’s individual needs and age group. Duties may vary with each facility but are not limited to, removing stitches, changing wound dressings, explaining prescriptions, administering medications and treatments per facility policies, and assisting patients with tasks such as getting dressed and walking or using a walking aid. LVN functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, and provides nursing care to patients of all ages, assumes responsibility and accountability for designated patients.

Must have great interpersonal skills
Be able to work during high stress situations
Must present a professional demeanor
Be able to maintain a calm and reasonable attitude during conflict and crisis.
-Education and Experience:
Must be currently registered with California Board of Vocational Nursing and be certified to start IV’s and administer medications if needed.
Current BLS certification
0-1 year experience in LVN needed.
Current CPR certification
