We are looking for Registered Dietitians located near Rockville, MD. This position is Part Time (24 hours/week). We offer a competitive salary and partial benefits.
Requirements: Registered Dietitian or Eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian Exam (with DI Verification Statement)
Responsibilities:
- Organizing nutritional care of residents and patients by completing clinical nutritional assessments
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary medical team to implement nutrition interventions to address malnutrition, wound healing, chronic disease states, enteral nutrition therapy, and parenteral nutrition therapy
- Providing nutrition counseling and education for residents and family
- Participating in morning meeting and care plan meetings as required
- Working with other dietitians and facility staff to ensure optimal care to residents
- Menu writing and nutrient analyses to meet specific guidelines
- Creation of nutrition articles/educational handouts
- 1 on 1 nutrition counseling
- Site visits for nutrition education
