Job Summary:

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week salaried position) with flexible scheduling, including the option to work from home at some accounts. Enjoy the perfect work-life balance!

Work Location: - Discover Chicago north suburb's diverse healthcare landscape, including skilled nursing, behavioral health, and supportive living facilities, and apply your expertise to serve clients across these healthcare settings. Work both onsite and remote to create a schedule that works for you!

Responsibilities That Make a Difference:

• Provide clinical nutrition assessments to client patients/residents, ensuring their unique needs are met. Referrals can include initial and annual assessments, significant changes, tube-feedings, pressure ulcers, renal diet/dialysis, and more.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and Facility staff, assisting with documentation tasks such as MDS work and Care Plans to maintain compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular reviews of meal service, kitchen operations, resident dining, food safety, and sanitation practices to enhance quality and safety.
• Review menus and provide necessary approvals to ensure nutrition needs and regulatory requirements are met for different facility types and state regulations.
• Stay up to date with in-service training on food service and food sanitation, working alongside the facility Dietary Manager and corporate staff.
• Deliver nutrition education to patients/residents, families, and groups, sharing your expertise and empowering them to make informed choices.
• Act as a preceptor to the facility Dietary Manager, supporting their journey toward certification through training and guidance.
• Utilize your time efficiently to maximize the impact of our services for our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree in dietetics.
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
