This is an open and continuous posting for seasonal positions for our Waypoint lab location in Wilson, NC. The Seasonal Laboratory Technician will primarily work on a seasonal basis from approximately August through November. There are day shift and night shifts available.
The Seasonal Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the laboratory by following methodologies, performing analysis, and interpreting datafrom samples.
What you will do:
- Preparing and analyzing samples for a wide variety of testing procedures including a variety of testing procedures.
- Follow the outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests assigned.
- Learn to operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
- Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
- Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas.

- Other duties as required.
What you will bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
- Knowledge of analytical method, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety.
- Willingess and ability to work evening or overnight shifts.
