We planted our roots in Newark, New Jersey during the Great Depression, selling premium nuts on Mulberry Street’s open-air market. We’ve come quite a long way since then, taking our multi-generational family business online in 1999. Even after 90 years, we continue to pride ourselves in expertly sourcing the highest quality foods and treating our customers like family.

The role
We're looking for a full-time in-house Photographer to shoot and style products for our highly
trafficked eCommerce site NUTS.COM. Besides a keen eye for detail and quality control, core to this
role is the ability to define categorical styles and consistently execute on them across our large
assortment of products. The Photographer will also have the ability to flex their food styling skills for
lifestyle photography for onsite, email and social media content.
Beyond killer photography knowledge and styling talents, success in this role is dependent on being
self-motivated, composed, curious, organized, open to feedback, empathetic and crazy collaborative.
The Photographer works within the Creative team but works very closely with Merchandising and
Marketing teams as part of a core team all working towards the same goal - to deliver a definitive
NUTS.COM experience.

You will 

• Determine lighting requirements, composition, background, props and product set up as
  well as any additional specifications to ensure quality shooting
• Shoot photos for use on the website, social media, email campaigns and more
• Build a living and breathing style guide system
• Follow art direction to support strategic and business objectives
• Photo edit and retouch
• Organize and maintain prop inventory and photography equipment
• Organize and maintain photo library
• Take the lead in building out a photography studio and prop library

What you'll bring

• 5+ years experience shooting product photography
• A solid portfolio demonstrating creative and technical expertise
• Drool-worthy photography skills; maniacal attention to detail
• Head-spinning velocity: ability and willingness to work quickly and in an iterable fashion focused on delivering a highly refined and consistent images
• Expert knowledge of professional digital photography equipment, digital workflow and terminology
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom
• File management, archival skills and file delivery to workflow standards
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment
• Partner with freelance team members to assure consistency
