What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at NuWest Group?
Location: Seattle, WA
Pay: $20/hr
Shift: 6am-4:30pm M-Th
Duties & Responsibilities
- Move palletized parts to warehouse or shipping area with hand trucks
- Record production time, quantity and scrap data on paper or into computer system
- Load and unload processing equipment.
- Take instructions from supervisors and leads
- Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow production schedules to ensure finished parts are done and shipped on time.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous production or machine operator experience is preferred.
- Experience working within the plastics industry in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Experience using paint spray equipment is a but not required.
- Experience using electric and pneumatic hand tools is a preferred but not required.
- Prior experience working within a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environment a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be flexible with an ability to multi-task and shift duties as needed
- Drug free and be open to drug testing
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
