Overview
NV5 is seeking a talented Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager to join our thriving Water Resources Engineering Group in Albuquerque. If you’re passionate about water resources and have hands-on experience in AutoCAD and ArcGIS, we encourage you to explore this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed design and construction plan drawings from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, and verbal descriptions.
- Work closely with Senior Designers, Project Managers, and the Department Director to implement project design and production requirements, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
- Develop exhibits to accompany reports, demonstrating a willingness to learn and apply AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS techniques.
- Implement AutoCAD standards and quality procedures to ensure that all drawings convey complete and accurate information.
- Collaborate with project team members, other departments, and sub-consultants to achieve project objectives.
- Be adaptable and take on various tasks as needed to support project and team goals.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in water resources or civil engineering, with a focus on design and construction for water resource projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and construction plan preparation, including plan and profiles, cross-sections, grading, and drainage plans.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS and Civil3D is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, demonstrating initiative and responsibility in project delivery.
- Familiarity with NM APWA and NM DOT design standards and practices.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with ArcGIS is a plus.
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
