We are looking for a new Kennel Assistant to support our Redwood City Hospital!

Our Kennel Assistants oversee the animals that are hospitalized and the kennels they stay in. Kennel Assistants work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians, who oversee the animal’s health while they are hospitalized. Applicants must have a professional work ethic, positive personality, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast paced environment, be a team player and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Provide veterinary husbandry (e.g. bedding, cage turnover, food/water, litter, laundry, dishes)
- Support our patient care team in a dynamic environment
- Assist with cleaning of hospital and grounds as assigned
- Assist with replenishing supplies in all areas of hospital as assigned
Basic required qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Calm, professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital
- Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy
- Understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs)
- Able to work well independently as well as with a team
Work schedule:
- Full-time
- 4/10 schedule
- Wednesday - Saturday, flexible daytime hours
Compensation range $18.00 - $20.00 hourly. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
