PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Coordinate the activities and flow of work in assigned departments. Provide direction to employees to ensure the day-to-day business unit department goals are being met. Interact with a variety of support groups in the business unit, company and outside the company to resolve problems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Comply with and support company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the day-to-day planning and organization of workflow, work schedules, assignments and the utilization of equipment and supplies.
- Assist with employee on-the-job training and orientation.
- Notify appropriate resources when problems arise concerning equipment, process operations, material, inventory, process documentation, etc.
- Operate a variety of equipment applicable within assigned area (CRTs, forklifts, motor vehicles, etc.).
- Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.
- Perform the necessary transactions to maintain accurate records and inventory balances as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Promote and adhere to Hoffman’s quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities through team involvement with Lean.
- Perform other duties as required.
