Tool Crib Attendant

Perform duties required to set-up and operate of multi-spindle screw machines for boring, grooving, chamfering, taping and facing operations on various-sized steel couplers. Must have skills and experience necessary to set up multiple machines. • Work from drawings, route sheets, charts, tables and instructions. • Change collets and pushers, adjust stops, set and adjust tool holders and tools; load parts, actuate machine, check dimensions, and make necessary adjustments. • Set tooling, sequences, speeds, and feeds which are generally prescribed or selected within a limited range. • Complete necessary reports and records. Maintain material lot integrity. Visually check parts for obvious damage or defects, burrs, and omitted operations. • Obtain first piece inspection and check work frequently using micrometers and various gauges to ensure adherence to specifications. • Adjust coolant flow and replenish reservoirs. • Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial. • 1 years manufacturing experience is required • Strong troubleshooting skills necessary, with the ability to make informed decisions. • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines. • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision. • Heavy lifting required (50 plus lbs).
