Primary Responsibilities
The initial step in progressing through leadership development will be a role with responsibility for the Customer Service, Scheduling, Delivery, and Administrative functions of the Delanco Plant. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
· Lead and manage a team, promoting a positive work environment focused on achieving business goals. Foster an environment of coaching, development and teamwork and ensure expectations and results are communicated effectively.
· Manage the customer scheduling & delivery process and production capacity of the plant, through effective communication with Homebuilding Operations. Understand and manage capacity variables to drive an accurate and stable production schedule.
· Partner with Homebuilding Operations and the plant production departments to provide a high level of quality and timely resolution to any quality or delivery issues.
· Understand and drive the achievement of NVR and Plant yearly business objectives, initiatives, and productivity, quality and delivery goals. Identify and implement projects or processes to achieve these goals.
· Lead operational production planning to meet all shipment schedules. Develop and execute the agreed upon staffing plan and allocate resources accordingly.
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of administrative processes, including but not limited to, plant payables, invoicing, customer service reports, etc.
· Demonstrate an active role in the plant safety program through conducting audits and ensuring leadership is monitoring all personnel for desired safety behaviors.
· Manage key controllable operating expenses and develop cost control plans. Drive process improvement, throughout the plant, which focuses on results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
· Participate in broader company initiatives, as assigned.
Position Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required or extensive Customer Service experience
· MBA preferred
· 7 years of progressive leadership or management experience
· Excellent problem-analysis, critical thinking, and strategic planning abilities
· Experience communicating effectively with all levels of an organization
· Outstanding collaboration and conflict management abilities
· Strong commitment to Customer Service
· Excellent reliability, with strong planning and organizational skills
· Focus on driving improvements within the organization and ability to persuade and influence others
· Ability to coach and develop others to achieve goals and grow
· Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines
· Ability to travel to other NVR plants and locations, as needed
