What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Test & Check position at NVT Group?
- SUMMARY
Conduct system testing and repair work on hydraulic vibration test equipment to ensure products meet performance and quality expectations.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform work requiring knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical & electrical.
- Verify customer ordered components are ready and available for testing. These include, but are not limited to: Hydraulic hoses, cables, hydraulic power supplies, slip tables, couplings, bearings, scavenge pump units, servo valve drivers, actuators, vibration controllers, accelerometers, other special components.
- Replace filter elements, take oil samples and perform basic analysis.
- Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Read and understand blueprints, diagrams, technical orders and schematic drawings to determine appropriate methods and sequences of testing.
- Clean, align, and assemble components parts using hand/power tools, fixtures and templates to spec
- Repair, rework and calibrate hydraulic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Other duties as assigned

- Disassembly and inspection of returned components to determine cause of malfunction, repair and reassembly of same SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

- SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuit boards with signal processing concepts
- Broad knowledge of transducers and their capabilities and electrical interfaces
- Willingness to work on hydraulic equipment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures as they relate to assembly.
- Assemble system components (mechanical and hydraulic) for testing.
- Testing of hydraulic systems using electronic controllers.
- Repair and maintain in-house equipment
- Interface with company management and other technicians
- EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSTwo years applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Exposed to high pressure hydraulic fluid & high voltage, (440 3 phase)
- Ability to left up to 50 pounds
