This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Shift schedule is M-F, with scheduled OT. Position Summary:
- Safely and efficiently operate log yard equipment
- Properly handle, move, and store logs in inventory and in prepared loads
- Follow established procedures to document and track the receipt, movement, and transfer of logs
- Take part in the receiving, storing, & loading processes
- Other duties as required, will include some administrative duties
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proper use, care, and maintenance of heavy equipment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for at least 8 hours daily
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members and truck drivers
- Ability to occasionally lift and move 50 pounds or more
- Knowledge and experience in identifying and recognizing tree species
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Ability and desire to wear personal protective equipment at all times and follow established safety procedures
- Cognitive ability to interpret and follow establish administrative procedures
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience operating log yard equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a Letourneau
