Title: Financial Controller
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary:
The Financial Controller reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead all activity related to the Finance and Accounting functions. He/she will lead the Annual Operating Plan process, Monthly Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, Cash Management, Payroll Processing, and work with 3rdparty Tax & Accounting partners related to tax and reporting compliance. The Financial Controller will be a key business partner of the CEO working with other functional owners to drive excellence in organizational management and financial performance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Financial Statements
- Work directly with the company’s CPA and Tax firm in order to effectively meet annual reporting and tax filing obligations
- Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Calendar and Process
- Drive Monthly Operations Review Process
- Work with Functional Leaders on the CEOs staff in order to drive financial performance
- Establish, monitor, and manage a strong internal control environment
- Analyze financial and operational performance of the business, and make recommendations for improvements as necessary
- Oversee the Continuous Improvement function, establishing goals and driving performance
- Work directly with the CEO to drive effective design, implementation, and management of the Global Shop Solutions ERP solution
- Work directly with the CEO to establish the go-forward Chart of Accounts, and transaction flow in the Global Shop Solutions ERP solution
- Serve as a resource to the staff levels leaders in the area of ERP system data and reporting
- Drive proper transaction flow inside ERP and financial reporting systems and processes
- Take responsibility for, and ultimately pass on to Human Resources, the payroll process
- Cash Application
- Generating A/P Checks and processing AC/Wire bank payments
- Processing certain types of A/R Billing
- Other ad-hoc projects as required
- Position will likely, in time, assume responsibility for a direct report supporting Accounts Payable
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong Knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting principles
- Very high-level skills using Microsoft Excel
- Very strong analytical skills
- Ability to master establishing and replication data pulling & reporting from ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Financial Modeling and Analysis skills

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Financial Management or Accounting
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in finance or accounting role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 Years of experience managing direct reports (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
