Job Overview
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting marketing, advertising and promotional activities while enhancing and growing the NYRA Bets brand and KPIs. Additionally the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for providing marketing support for NYRA Bets “Business to Business” efforts.
Responsibilities
- Support the NYRA Bets marketing team with updating the marketing content on the website including changing advertising banners, proofing and uploading original betting content, updating the promotions calendar, creating landing pages and other website duties as assigned using Modx content editor
- Support the Marketing Manager in retention efforts by drafting email and push notifications and creating target groups via Optimove to increase horseplayer engagement and activation
- Facilitate promotion approval with the New York Gaming Commission and the NYRA legal team by preparing submissions for approval
- Work with Creative Services team to develop collateral materials for various acquisition and retention campaigns including website, email, and tv graphics, etc.
- Aid the Growth Marketing Manager in distributing creative assets and tracking URLS to media partners for advertising campaigns
- Coordinate promotions with the TV departments to ensure they receive all creative and live talent read information for each broadcast (simulcast, America’s Day at the Races and Saratoga Live) to successfully promote NYRA Bets and support sponsorship promotions
- Maintain the online free contest The Showdown by posting contests and crediting winners
- Contribute to competitor analysis document to keep the team updated on the latest in horse racing gambling and sports betting trends and promotions
- Assist the NYRA Bets team with on-track promotional efforts including preparing materials/promotional items for the Bets Squad, VIP players or acquisition efforts and other ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years of work experience
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and a willingness to learn new programs, such as the marketing CMS program.
- Excels at written communication and willing to develop copywriting and editing skills
- Knowledge of HTML, website content editors, marketing ESPs and Optimove preferred but not required.
- Horse Racing or Sports knowledge/interest preferred.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule which could be Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday and some holidays.
