Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Compensation Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate analyzes, evaluates and classifies positions, within the Medical Center, utilizing external/internal market data and makes appropriate recommendations as required. Works with department heads/managers/supervisors to develop accurate and detailed job descriptions. Participates in all aspects of increase program implementation processes for Union and Non-Union employee populations within the Medical Center. Conducts title-wide surveys and makes recommendations to leadership value of position in market.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acts as resource to departments and internal HR staff in identifying and/or describing job content, minimum requirements, any critical factors and market conditions related/required for existing and proposed positions in order to effectively develop, evaluate and/or classify positions within the organization.
- Leads and coordinates all HR activities for FGP practice on boarding. Works with the FGP central office to determine appropriate title and salary, and coordinates with other HR areas (Benefits, Recruitment, Transactions, etc.) to ensure all on boarding time lines are met. Supports the FGP central office as needed to ensure all on boarding needs are met to make for a positive on boarding experience for the new NYULMC employees.
- Coordinates HR tree/reporting structure changes when requested. Collects data, requests/implements change, and audits to ensure accuracy. Is knowledgeable about the tree structure process and can act as an expert within HR.
- Coordinates day to day activities of the Medical Center's Performance Management System. Handles all customer inquiries timely and efficiently. Collects feedback and works towards implementation of change to increase user satisfaction. Manages job description libraries, mapping tables and supervisor data to ensure smooth annual processes. Develops training material and resources. Trains users when requested. Escalates issues when needed.
- Participates in Compensation related projects as a Team member and/or Leader, as assigned, which may include designing/developing/facilitating presentations to target and varied audiences.
- Participates in Market-surveys and ensures that data is reported in an accurate and timely manner.
- Documents results and recommendations in accordance with Compensation practices and historical file purposes in a neat and comprehensive manner.
- Assists in the administration, implementation and communication of Compensation policies and practices.
- Implements salary increase programs and market adjustments for union and non-union populations within the Hospitals Center, School of Medicine and Affiliations. Performs quality assurance checks to ensure integrity of data.
- Researches and Analyzes market data utilizing third party surveys and internal comparative data to determine appropriate classifications for positions.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree. Minimum of two or more years of experience in Human Resources related role, which includes performing work of an analytical nature. Strong analytical/oral/written/interpersonal communication skills required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, priority shifting environment. Ability to work with all levels of staff, including executives. Strong knowledge/usage of Excel. Knowledge of PeopleSoft (or other HRIS), and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Compensation Analyst. Masters Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or other related field.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $ 67,771.14 - $ 110,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
