Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Administrator II - BI.
In this role, the BI Systems Engineer/Administrator is responsible for administering, supporting, governing and maintaining BI Systems in the Enterprise Data Warehouse group. This role must have a thorough understanding of client-server application architecture as well as strong IT system integration fundamentals (including AD, Network, Storage, Database, etc. concepts). This role will also create, support, and enhance custom coded automated tasks and routines. This is a multitasking role and the position is expected to support multiple BI developments and operations teams as well as a large and diverse application user community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer system experience
- Install, configure, manage and execute upgrades of client server applications (ex. BusinessObjects, Tableau etc...)
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery strategy and mechanisms
- Performance Tune Intelligent Server, and Web Server for best results.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for BusinessObjects, Tableau and other client server application environments
- Maintain onboarding documents and provide mass broadcasts/onboarding/coaching for new BI employees and contractors
Provide regular status reports to management - Perform user administration, including creation of users and groups, removing inactive users, and conducting license audits to ensure adherence to licensing requirements
- Write an maintain system administration process documents
- Monitor and Manage Helpdesk queues within stipulated SLAs
- Contribute to process improvement for prevention/reduction in defects in application uptime and performance
- Work with other Infrastructure teams seamlessly as necessary (DBA, Server, Storage, Security, etc.)
- Participate in meetings with various entities to continuously upgrade functional and provide technical expertise for deliver solutions/integrations
- Responsible for Version control/Content lifecycle management between the various systems/environments
- Maintain confidentiality at all times when working with sensitive material and exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Minimum experience of 8 years working with various BI systems
Strong SQL/Database fundamentals
Tableau Administration Experience (TSM, Data Management, Resource Monitoring, Content Migration, etc.)
Business Objects Architecture/Administration experience a must (4.x )
Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with a knack for troubleshooting under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization
Ability to work under little or no supervision

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $92,066.00 - $153,443.16 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
