Forensic Accountant

Full-time Position

O’Connor & Drew, a growing regional public accounting firm, is looking to hire a Forensic Accountant. The firm has a diverse and expanding client base of individuals, privately held companies, not for profit entities and institutions of higher learning. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the requisite background who will help us continue to grow this area of our practice. This position is perfect for someone looking to increase their knowledge of forensic accounting while working closely with the Partner who heads up our forensic group.

Job Description

The Forensic Accountant will work hand in hand with the Partner and Manager who head up our forensic group. Our Partner has over 20 years of experience and our Manager has 9 years of experience with forensic and fraud investigations. They both are certified as a CPA, CIA and CFE. In addition to forensic work, the group also conducts due diligence on business acquisitions, fraud investigations, internal control reviews and business consulting for a variety of industries: higher education, automotive dealerships and many others.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate financial information
• Analyze and identify cases of fraud
• Recommend actionable steps to remedy and prevent future occurrences of fraud
• Audit financial statements and other documents
• Communicate with partner, manager, and clients

Qualifications

• 1 plus year in Public Accounting or Internal Audit
• CPA, CFE or CIA license or working towards one of these licenses
• Strong Communication skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with data analytics or college level courses in this subject area
• Forensic experience preferred
• Automotive dealership experience a plus but not required
