PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Produce, edit, and publish daily content including articles, videos, graphics, with an emphasis on customer stories, to support O-I’s integrated content strategy across all channels.
- Establish strong relationships across the business to recognize and capitalize on story ideas and thought leadership content opportunities to drive strategic business priorities.
- Synthesize business needs in order to propose and produce engaging content on the right channel for the right audience.
- Coordinate the content pipeline and content production across channels in close contact with Head of Content & Editorial Strategy.
- Copywriting, editing, and collaborating with in-house and agency production partners when needed.
- Ensure the voice of our brand is reflected in all branded and unbranded content through brand standards for storytelling.
- Build highly collaborative relationships to support Integrated Communications content creators and their stakeholders.
- Execute content audits, when assigned, to keep content fresh, relevant, and updated with SEO standards.
- Provide recommendations, based on analytics, to help educate the business on the most engaging content approaches and channels based on past executions.
- Support team’s efforts to educate about the value of content & storytelling across categories and business functions.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications colleagues to repurpose digital customer success stories for sales & marketing tool kit when appropriate.
- Support the creation of targeted, audience-centric content journeys, narratives and the corresponding deliverable plans that aim at delivering on the integrated communication strategy objective.
- Support content and other activities tied to O-I’s glass advocacy campaign.
- Create and edit content to implement SEO best practices
- All other duties as assigned.
SCOPE AND IMPACT
This role is responsible for executing day-to-day content creation in a collaborative, newsroom-like storytelling environment. While this role will have a heavy focus on generating meaningful stories about customers, this role will work collaboratively across the business as assigned. This role is designed for someone with existing copywriting skills and content management experience, and for someone who understands the strengths of various channels and content types in order to turn relevant topics into impactful stories across all internal and external channels. He/she will be exposed to all aspects of the integrated communications function.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications or similar discipline preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and implementing targeted content for internal / external audiences.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with content workflow management.
- Proven track record of high performance.
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS, SEO best practices, Google analytics, social media best practices.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to make content recommendations based on analytics.
- Highly flexible with a “breaking news” approach to content, able to prioritize and change course easily.

- Proven track-record of producing content to meet business goals beyond a page view.
- Strong grasp on how to wield the strengths of different online platforms.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Head of Content & Editorial Strategy.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Less than 10% travel.
