Job Description
As a Line Leader you will be responsible for managing the total operation of the line on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters.
The Line Leader will:
- Reinforce positive team efforts and embraces Continuous Improvement concepts to ensure workers activities impact operation and common goals.
- Define initiatives and operations goals with input from other plant personnel to improve overall performance.
- Develop technical specialized skills and knowledge, as well as team work, continuous improvement and discipline strengths.
- Be responsible for all audit compliance for Quality, Safety, GMP, Procedures, Swabbing and Forming.
The Line Leader should have:
- The ability to ensure correct use of safety equipment and that company safety policies are followed
- Experience leading workshops resulting in tangible key performance indicator improvements
- Significant understanding of Flow Manufacturing concepts that use Continuous Improvement and Kaizen events
- A clear vision and direction of change management
- Adequate knowledge of informational systems & ability to analyze data
Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production or Operations Management, Business, or other related disciplines preferred
- Experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing environment, preferably glass production
- Project Management and/or Lean Certification desired
- Availability to support a 24/7 operations

What we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $100,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
