Health Pavilion Line Cook Position Summary
Prepares meals for members which meet their individual needs. Prepares meals for guests. Quality of prepared food items, meal service to patients, and meeting safety and sanitation standards are the priority of the department.
Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures. This includes completing cleaning assignments as scheduled, cleaning equipment, and following all safety rules to protect self, other employees, members, and guests. Follows all sanitation policy and procedures for food storage, preparation, services.
Responsible for preparation of the member's plate and for checking all items on each member's plate to assure all items meet diet prescribed and individual member needs as directed by Registered Dietician.
Prepares appropriate food, hot or cold, in a timely fashion for meal service.
Health Pavilion Line Cook Job Qualifications And Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One-year related experience and/or training in healthcare setting
Experience preparing therapeutic diets.
Must be able to read and write and follow written instructions.
Able to communicate effectively.
Ability to read and understand recipes.
This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population.
All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening
