Oakfire’s Job Description - Server
Purpose:
As a server you are the main connection point for our guests. You are the one that facilitates our First Class Guest Service by following all of our standard operating procedures (SOP).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage your section of 3-4 tables with a high level of engagement including bussing tables and running food and drinks per our teamwork-centric service model. Follow the buddy system.
- Follow all Guest Service Steps marked out in the server SOP.
- Ensure a positive mental attitude and greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
- Speak to guests with enthusiasm at all times and ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience at Oakfire. Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
- Performs side work and finds ways to help team during non-busy hours.
- Attend to guests during their entire dining/drinking experience. Be sure to follow Homebase procedures.
- Identifies food orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner.
- Communicates with every member of the team with 100% callbacks.
- Reports to work as scheduled, in uniform, well groomed, and ready to be in position. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers.
- Follows checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Maintains full knowledge of menus, drinks, recipes, and other pertinent information while increasing knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.
- Ensures that guests have a positive and memorable experience at Oakfire.
- Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
- Prepares work area for opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company standards. Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year server experience in customer service, hospitality industry.
- Ability to remain resilient under pressure.
- Ability to work well in a teamwork-centric environment.
- Ability to make quality and timely decisions.
- Great communication and organizational skills.
- Thrives in a fast pace environment and is able to work 6 hours on their feet.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
