OakTree Supply is a family owned and operated specialty woodworking store geared toward hobbyists and professionals who are looking for tools and supplies not found in big-box stores. Located on the north side of Fort Wayne, our store caters to walk-in shoppers while our growing webstore ships orders across the United States.
We are looking to add an energetic sales associate who will both assist our customers to ensure they have an enjoyable shopping experience as well as help with other duties needed to keep our store running smoothly. Position Type: Full time or part time options available with flexible hours
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide and maintain courteous customer service both in store and over the phone
- Aid in buying decisions by offering product knowledge and suggestions
- Complete transactions at the register
- Maintain the showroom by replenishing inventory, ensuring cleanliness and organizing products
- Assist with receiving inventory and shipping online orders
- Assist the store manager with tasks as needed
Skills
- Basic computer operation skills required
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership for your responsibilities
- Keen eye for organization and implementation
- Forklift operation or willing to learn with on-site training
- Provide and maintain a high level of customer service
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in the retail industry preferred but not required
- Woodworking knowledge or related experience desired
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to complete training to add value to your position
- Interest in advancing in skills and career growth.
