What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at OATS Transit?
Join a team that is making a difference in your community! OATS Transit is a 501c3 transportation provider for thousands of seniors, individuals with disabilities and the rural general public in Missouri. We currently have openings for a full-time Operations Coordinator at our Columbia, Mo office.
This is a general office position for a multi-county area to coordinate transportation services. This is a Monday - Friday schedule with no weekends.
Essential Job Functions include:
- Answer phones to help riders schedule trips, answer driver questions, and answer general public calls in a multi-county area.
- Schedule and dispatch vehicles and drivers using our computerized routing and scheduling system.
- Assist with data entry.
- Assist with driver's meetings as needed.
- Depending on regional needs, may assist with billing, timesheet review, personnel processing, or fleet maintenance.
- Review and keep up to date on OATS policies and procedures for the improvement of passenger service and safety regulations.
- Handle incoming mail, filing, making copies and order supplies as needed.
- This is a “safety sensitive” position and as such is subject to OATS' policies pertaining to drug and alcohol testing.
- Must have excellent computer experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years minimum administrative experience.
- Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and basic office equipment.
- Must be bondable.
- Have a helpful, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adjust to dynamic work environment.
- Neat, organized, able to work independently, and welcoming to our riders and drivers.
- Calls for initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail and accuracy.
