Obsidian Planning Solutions, a financial planning firm located in Rockville, MD, is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager for the local office.
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Senior Relationship Manager, you will make connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results. As your relationship builds with the firm’s clients, you will become their primary advisor for all financial planning needs. Their trust in your ability to advise, direct and guide them in financial planning decisions and actions is essential to your success.
No “book of business” is required, nor prospecting for new clients as the firm has several well-developed lead sources. You will work with all levels of clients to provide confident, encouraging guidance to help clients make sound decisions that will achieve their personal financial goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Present periodic client reviews to update financial plans.
- Advise, direct, and guide clients regarding action steps necessary to fulfill their financial goals.
- Follow up with clients to make sure recommendations from plans and reviews are completed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Communicate updates to our financial planners and follow-up to make sure plan updates are performed timely.
- Provide clients with comprehensive product/service consultations and guide their decision-making process.
- Broaden existing relationships through solutions-based cross-sales.
- Complete software training on applications used in the management and delivery of our client services.
- Comply with all applicable financial compliance, regulations, company policies and procedures to serve the client’s best interest and enhance client satisfaction.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- 5 years of experience in financial planning, financial services, insurance, or banking.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Financial planning software experience preferably with Advisor Engine, Naviplan, and Morningstar.
- Great listener with outstanding relationship building skills.
- Confidence and decisiveness coupled with ability to positively influence people into action.
- Communicates and builds relationships effectively with external and internal professionals.
- Team player with initiative and strong work ethic.
- Solid organization skills to coordinate multiple weekly client meetings and follow-up steps.
- Problem-solver with a client focused mind-set.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Obsidian Planning Solutions will reward your experience and talents with an attractive compensation plan of $100K - $125K plus bonus incentives and potential partner in the firm.
