Job Summary
Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking Security Managers to assist a Department of Defense (DoD) customer in meeting physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, information system security, records management, COMSEC, and security training requirements to ensure information is protected and safeguarded in accordance with DoD instructions.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provide the functional support required to fulfill all tasks, services, materials, supplies, equipment, and project supervision, as required.
- Personnel may be required to work cross functionally with other task areas as the mission requires, which may also include:
- Serve as the alternate COMSEC custodian, supporting the submission of the DD Form 254.
- Manage daily Special Access Program (SAP) operations; Implement and execute government directives.
- Ensure customer compliance with SAP security requirements per DOD policies and regulations and SCI security requirements per DOD policies and regulations.
- Prepare and process requests for foreign travel through the appropriate approval authority; visit requests for travelers to and from the organization via DISS and other systems.
- Prepare requests for initial Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Program indoctrinations.
- Ensure compliance with special communication standards of the SAP facility.
- Control transfer, storage, management, duplication, and destruction of SCI and SAP information; coordinating the physical transfer of classified materials between geographically separated facilities and training staff on appropriate procedures for carrying classified documents.
- Escorting staff during conferences, meetings, or as required.
- Provide Information Systems Security Officer duties for the customer, to include coordination of software and hardware changes / problem resolution, account access, data transfers, scanning, and copying data to/from external media.
- Investigating security incidents, conducting risk analyses, and preparing written reports that identify contributing factors and specify preventive action.
- Prepare and process initial and reaccreditation facility requests.
- Conduct Security Assessment Visits on behalf of the customer’s SSO to all subordinate and cognizant organizations.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance w/SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10) years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Experience with security compliance, risk mitigation and process management.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Normal office environment
Travel
- Up to 10% - CONUS - Local travel to attend meetings or events may be required a within the National Capital Region commuting vicinity.
