Position Title: Exhibit Lead (Garden & Floral)
Rate of Pay: $16.00
Position Purpose:
Assists the Exhibit Supervisor or Event Coordinator with the exhibit program to include office and administrative support, guiding the work of other Exhibit Attendants, and installation and tear-down of exhibits during the annual OC Fair.
Essential Functions:
- Provides guidance to other Exhibit Attendants in the execution of their job duties
- Maintains records and files, coordinates schedules
- Assist with correspondence for judges, staff, exhibitors and/or demonstrators
- Inputs judging results into ShoWorks and generates ShoWorks results
- Provides assistance during all phases of the judging process
- Assists Program Coordinator in organizing awards, presentations and ceremonies
- During events, safeguards exhibits and watches building entrances and exits.
- Provides information about the exhibit to the public and answers questions about the exhibit, the event and the property
- Participates in the Set-up, tear-down and storage of exhibits
- Handles telephone calls and customer service as needed
- Assists in the entry pick up process and returning entries to the public at the end of the event

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid CA driver’s license required
- Must possess computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills a must
- Strong customer service skills necessary
- Must have the ability to guide others in a team environment
- Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair (mid July- mid August)
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs
Preferences:
- Previous experience with Competitions highly preferred
- Previous knowledge and/or experience working with Garden & Floral competitions
- Previous knowledge and/or experience working with Livestock
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with Gardening/Horticulture

The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud, particularly when working outdoors or in an exhibit building.
