Job Summary:
Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking a professional and personable On Call Bartender for our hotel restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, creating craft cocktails, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This is an on-call position designed to provide support during peak hours, special events, and high-volume weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Set up and maintain bar station, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
- Manage bar inventory and inform management of supply needs.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate processing and adherence to all cash handling policies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure the responsible service of alcohol in compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with restaurant servers and kitchen staff to meet guest needs in a timely manner.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown when necessary, ensuring all bar equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize revenue while enhancing the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking garnishes, glassware, and other supplies.
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience in a high-volume hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
