Position Summary
Ability to supervise, hire, and train geoscientists, archaeologists, and engineers responsible for interpretive geohazard analysis on survey projects in support of offshore drilling, windfarm developments, field developments, pipeline engineering, decommissioning, government and telecommunication projects. Position requires presentations of survey results to clients. Marketing visits are also a requirement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of marine geohazards.
- Knowledge of survey techniques and procedures.
- Use and proficiency with geophysical programs used to process and interpret data.
- Ability to work as a team player with others on projects.
- Ability to train new employees to be proficient and productive with the geophysical interpretation packages we use.
- Ability to QC and provide direction for geohazard interpretations.
- Ability to present survey plans or results to technical clients.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Position requires a BS degree or higher in Geosicences or related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- Ability to use of basic computer programs and systems to effectively carry out the duties of the position.
- Organizes written ideas clearly. Tailors written communications to effectively reach an audience.
- Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
- Reviews and checks the accuracy of information in work reports.
Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
