We are searching for a Business Development Representative who will spend their days calling on and qualifying prospect dealerships. You will be responsible for selling the Octane Value Prop to prospect dealers, enrolling those dealerships, following up and working with those enrolled dealers until they are comfortable submitting and funding deals on their own. If an engaged dealer falls out of engaged status the BDR will start the re-engagement cadence. Once a dealer is engaged, the relationship will be handed off to the RSM to engage and nurture.
Responsibilities include:
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to dealership
- Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, trade shows, etc; creating and maintaining a database of prospect clients, building pipelines with team members that exceed targets.
- Presenting and delivering information to power sport and outdoor power equipment dealers
- Answering dealer questions and follow-up call questions
- Successfully closing on Dealer Agreements and scheduling on-boardings.
- Maintaining Salesforce dealer information
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated ability to make cold calls and talking to new people all day through the use of your excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persuasive and goal-oriented with an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor with the tenacity to handle rejection
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Self-motivated and self-directed with a keen ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team
- High school degree or equivalent followed by 2 years experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience during which you gained knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), The G-suite of productivity tools (docs, spreadsheets, etc) and Salesforce experience preferred
