The program provides technical integration management support services for Army Human Resource Systems, which is a Product Director within Army. The program provides support for IT Desktop support for a workforce of 60 users, system administration, IA/Cybersecurity Support, configuration management, and Help Desk for multiple Army applications.
Skills & RequirementsResponsibilities:
- BI Solution Design and Development:
- Lead the sustainment of BI solutions for the Army and other branches, considering data sourcing, ETL processes, data modeling, and report/dashboard development.
- Utilize best practices in BI development to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the delivered solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and develop comprehensive BI solutions.
- Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Design and develop visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for federal agency decision-makers.
- Optimize data visualizations to enable users to understand complex data relationships and trends effectively.
- Implement self-service BI capabilities to empower users to create ad-hoc reports and explore data independently.
- Data Integration and ETL:
- Create and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the BI platform.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy during the ETL process, resolving any data anomalies and inconsistencies.
- Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and optimize BI platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or performance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to BI applications and infrastructure.
- Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior BI developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Share expertise and insights with the team on BI development best practices and federal compliance.
What We'd Like To See...
- Extensive experience as a BI Developer, with a focus on federal projects and government clients.
- Skilled in BI tools and technologies, including IBM Cognos and Oracle BI.
- Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements into practical BI solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and federal stakeholders.
- Certification in relevant BI technologies or federal compliance standards is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret.
