Job Summary: Responsible for the successful overall direction, administration and coordination of all activities of the Cage in accordance with the mission and objectives of the Enterprise and all established policies, procedures and controls of the Enterprise.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has authority to hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling, invoke disciplinary action and provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all Team Members.
- Provide oversight of the Cage Team; monitor workloads and appropriate levels of guest service.
- Ensure that day-to-day operational duties of the Cage functions are completed in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Ensure the integrity of all financial data produced by Team Members under their span of control.
- Monitor all financial activities on property, which relate to the Cage and Vault, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the Gaming Commission, Enterprise and federal and state tax commissions are enforced throughout the property.
- Act as a fill-in for call-ins or other types of absences in the Cage.
- Assist with the development of Cage operating budgets and ensure that operations are maintained within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate Tribal, federal, state and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations, as applicable.
- Maintain and fine-tune Cage policies and procedures.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained in Title 31 and other necessary compliance areas.
- Foster a culture of learning and development; support individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals.
- Conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
- Exhibit Leadership skills through the continuous evaluation, guidance and encouragement of Team Members.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
- Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
- Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Visit staff on all shifts to ensure enhanced communications among all Team Members and Management.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Work at other properties as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in related field and two (2) years’ supervisory experience in Finance, or a combination of a high school diploma and six (6) years working in Cage department within a gaming environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office products and ability to quickly learn specialized software packages.
- Must be flexible with shifts and days off.
- You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
Salary : $41,600 - $52,700
