We are especially leveraging data and intelligent techniques using machine learning to optimize business processes e.g. inventory management, procurement, delivery routing etc. The Smart Features team is responsible for transforming advanced data science prototypes into robust, high performance and production grade services. We are continuing to grow the breadth of business processes which can be augmented through such intelligent technologies.
We are looking for engineers with strong software development skills coupled with keen interest and experience in machine learning tools, technologies and techniques. How you’ll make an impact:
- Transform Data Science prototypes into robust production grade products and services
- Interact with the stakeholders of our products such as Data Science, Product, Design, Marketing and Operations.
- Prototype new ideas and iterate fast towards the best customer experience for cafes and users.
- Serve as a technical resource and engineering mentor for other developers.
- Optimizing algorithms to improve performance in production.
About you:
- Experience building and supporting mission-critical production applications. The number of years is less important than the fact that you’ve lived the full product lifecycle multiple times, from idea to maturity, and have learned what works and what doesn't.
- Software Development Experience in one of Python, Java, Scala, Ruby etc.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and familiarity with Data Science
- Knowledge of algorithm design and databases.
- You understand the value of well-designed, well-documented, discoverable APIs and you are willing to build, maintain, and evolve them.
- You’re a committed team player and love to collaborate on solutions with others, both inside and outside of Engineering.
- You have a track record of delivering high-quality software on time.
- You are curious and interested. If you don’t know something, you find the answer.

- Experience with AWS services
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows
