Enterprise Architect

Profile

The Enterprise Architect works with Infrastructure, Security, Data Architecture, and Data & Analytics to enforce an architecture strategy for an optimized blueprint of services on the cloud.

• Identifies and translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives
• Proposes cloud solutions based on business and technology considerations, and suitable alternatives to satisfy customer needs
• Works to integrate cloud solutions with existing enterprise tools and systems
• Analyzes the current enterprise architecture to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement using cloud solutions
• Ensures compliance of solutions to architectural standards
• Acts as a subject matter expert on technologies and trends in cloud solutions architecture
• Performs evaluations of enterprise cloud technology standards, tools, products and solutions to identify opportunities for improvement
• Keeps abreast of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates vendor offerings to determine best fit for business needs
• Produces technical documents of systems and architectures
• Manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement for the solution and ensure that the delivery of the project aligns to longer-term strategic roadmaps
• Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group
• Understand key data engineering and analytics components of an end to end architecture from ingest to publish in order to make recommendations on technologies and potential patterns
• Facilitates and defines requirements on any POCs on tools that fit into overall enterprise strategy
• Coordinates with Newline and Hudson on lessons learned in overall strategy and implementation
• Works with tech lead to design and implement solutions on Azure
• Coordinates with security and compliance to ensure solutions are signed off and compliant with internal and external regulations
• Builds a solution that would support an optimized chargeback model
• Ability to coach and work with vendors as needed to ensure appropriate guidance in place

• Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical ability and data-driven mindset
• Ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills
• Familiarity with service design and pricing in the context of cloud-based solutions
• Working knowledge of cloud management platforms

• Experience deploying and operating on a public cloud framework
• Experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, database architecture, virtualization, software design, software development, IP networking, Linux, Agile development, SCRUM, application lifecycle management, .NET, programming languages, technical solution architecture, SOA, Windows Azure, Amazon AWS
• Experience working with multiple teams to identify patterns and conceptual requirements for deployment of new tools
• Experience with various architecture types (Big compute, microservices, N-Tier)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
