What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist position at OEM?
We are currently looking for a skilled Machinist to work in an OEM manufacturing facility. As a manufacturer of laser workstations, we are seeking someone with attention to detail that can work in a small but fast-paced manufacturing facility.
We work with a variety of different materials. (Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Plastics, etc.) This role will produce precision parts using manual and automated equipment.
Job Requirements
- Set up, run Manual machines. (manual lathes, milling machines)
- Measure parts according to prints and work instructions.
- Operate manual and automatic surface grinders.
- Set up, run CNC mills and lathes (make offsets according to machining conditions)
- Check work for proper dimensions and visual defects.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Be able to work as a team or on your own.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have your own Machinist tools.
- Follow all company requirements.
- Maintain clean work area.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in using manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines. (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
- Programming is not required but is a plus.
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
- Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
