We are looking for a positive energetic Accounting Manager to join our amazing team. This role is far from one-dimensional and requires a broad knowledge of accounting functions, project accounting and leadership. To ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage, train and supervise team members in:
- Month end process
- Internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Cash Application
- Accounts Receivable
- Project Accounting
- Fixed Assets
- Day-to-day processing of financial transactions
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
- Managing the company project accounting processes.
- Working with the CFO to identify and implement accounting systems continuous improvement plans.
- Managing and maintaining accurate files in support of Accounting Manager functional responsibilities.
- Providing ad hoc financial reports or related support as needed.
- Audit weekly A/P check register
- Audit Account Reconciliation
- Auditing customer invoices
- Audit Month End Journal Entries
- Internal Controls
- Responsible for account and cost analysis
- Responsible for support for internal & external audit, Budget setup, project setup & asset additions
- Responsible for Month-end Close, Journal Entries, Fixed Assets, and ad hoc analyses Reduced
- Charged with executing a fixed asset audit
- Additional assignments as needed related to classifying asset additions and deletions, journal entries, and intercompany transfers.
- Capitalize new assets
- Complete disposals and transfers of assets
- Finalize and submit state sales and use tax
- Finalize and submit business license tax
- Audit bank reconciliations
- Assess accruals journal entries into the general ledger.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts
- Conduct variance analysis on accounts that were 1% higher between forecast and actual for P&L
- Strong QuickBooks experience
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in accounting with 2 or more years of experience as an Accounting Manager for a company that provides services and manufactures products, or
- 3 or more years of experience as an Accounting Manager with completion of intermediate and advanced accounting coursework/similar certifications.
- Experience in a variety of accounting functions to include:
- Financial Accounting and reporting and office administration
- Project Accounting
- Accounts Payable
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Inventory Accounting
- Sales and Use Tax Reporting
- Corporate Tas Reporting
- 1099 Tax Reporting
- Payroll Processing
- Experience with integrated ERP Accounting Systems
- US government Cost Accounting (Accounting for Unallowable Costs)
- Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
