Position Summary
Reporting to Production Supervisor & Plant Manager, the Dryer Operator will assume responsibility for running and maintaining the oven by checking heat, speed, and product quality.
Position Responsibilities
- Operators must pay attention to detail and be able to concentrate and be accurate in their responsibility of running the oven.
- Handle the manufacturing operations of the oven from raw material to finished product.
- Responsible for set up, monitoring, and adjusting oven temperature and time controls, to ensure a quality product.
- Keep the oiler filled on the chain and make sure it is working properly.
- All employees are directly responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance with the GMP Rules, sanitation, safety, and HACCP Programs.
- Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal, and state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, Right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, bloodborne pathogens, and lockout / tagout.
- Sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness of the oven room, make sure the skins, hearts and other debris are removed.
- Keep all areas assigned to you on the sanitation schedule maintained.
- Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.
Position Requirements
- One to three years related experience and / or training is preferred, not required.
