Lee Brass is seeking a Sales Manager for their Anniston, Alabama facility.  The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a passion for developing effective partnerships inside and outside of the organization.  The ideal team member will play a key role in assisting the sales, marketing and technical specifications of Lee Brass products as well as the potential to assist in other Fidelis Holdings locations as defined by the Director of Sales.

 

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will pursue sales opportunities through investigating and developing market research efforts to identify new markets as well as developing marketing concepts to promote our new capabilities. 

This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task under time constraints. In addition, strong math, verbal communication, and computer skills are a must. Experience using Google AdWords/Analytics, creating email marketing campaigns, and working with websites is also a plus. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implements the marketing strategy for all products, establishes new accounts, negotiates new contracts, sells and services established accounts, customers and end users.
  • Builds and maintains internal and external customer relationships, including but not limited to direct customers, operations, quality and engineering areas, etc.
  • Comprehends, masters, and deploys industry knowledge, product knowledge and and continues to educate and promote the industry, company, and products.
  • Continues, expands and fine tunes personal knowledge, experience, expertise of marketing, products, selling tools and techniques.
  • Solves problems involving customer relations, complaints, data analysis of competitive products and competitors, marketing strategy, bidding, pricing and distribution channels.
  • Prepares and delivers demonstrations and presentations and converts competitive product specifications.
  • Manages and controls fiscal sales expenses within budget guidelines and parameters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to competitive product research, sales reports, and target account reports and action plans.
  • Supervises the customer service and sales team at the Anniston, AL facility

 

 

Required Education, Experience and Abilities: 

  • Requires a minimum of a BS in Business, Management, Marketing, or Engineering, (Engineering degree preferred) or the equivalent of five years’ experience working in manufacturing, preferably in sales and marketing.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience demonstrating mastery of selling the company’s products and managing complex sales orders and who contribute to training less experience sales personnel. Must effectively produce results within the entire sales region.
  • Advanced computer skills required including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Excellent presentation skills and demeanor needed as well as excellent administrative and organizational skills.  Must reflect strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be effective with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of independence and discipline with attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of company products, sales, and product distribution channels and inside sales processes preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Odyssey preferred).
