Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a Training & Orientation Supervisor for our plant facilities based in Fort Smith, AR.
Summary: The Training and Orientation Supervisor is responsible for management of the company’s orientation program and 30-day training program and resources. This position focuses on team members entering the company, insuring each person receives; 1) sufficient training and exposure to the company’s culture, vision, and mission & 2) is properly trained on the essential tasks and functions of their job through hands-on experience and extensive follow-up during the first 30 days.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Implementation, development and management of the Orientation program for new hires (operative and admin) through the Onboarding trainers at all locations and/or LMS courses.
- Documentation, monitoring, and management of the Trainers program at all locations.
- Ensure that plant trainers comply with their training plan according to the general program guidelines.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve our team members’ experience from end to end.
- Documentation, monitoring and management of the Code of Ethics annual training (LMS).
- Budget control for training accounts.
- Participate with the identification of training needs aligned with business requirements.
- Documentation of work procedures as assigned (SOP)
- Assist with planning and executing employee engagement related initiatives including but not limited to events, orientation, surveys, training, employee recognition, to support our high-performance culture.
- Develop KPIs and a mechanism for tracking.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned aligned with corporate guidelines (Bachoco MX).
- This position requires some travel to other locations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience: Four-year degree from an accredited college; or more than 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Must have a valid driver’s license and qualify for the company driving program.
Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting/classroom facilitation and presentation. Ability to adjust communication skills to all levels within the organization. Ability to collect and analyze data, write reports, create presentations, business communications and publications.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as it relates to metrics and data analysis.
Computer Skills: Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred knowledge on LMS (Learning Management System) with SuccessFactors.
Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this job. Regular sitting, usage of hands to finger, handle, or fell, reaching with hands and arms. Speaking and hearing on a regular basis. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Lifting or moving of 10 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Work Environment: The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Regular work environment is in an office setting with a low noise level and controlled climate.
