We seek an innovative leader to join our team and guide our new Oklahoma secure-care treatment program. We welcome exceptional applicants for the facility superintendent who have strong backgrounds in youth development, juvenile justice, education and treatment programming.
The Position:
The superintendent leads the supervision, direction and development of our dedicated staff to provide positive impact for our residents. The onsite team includes XXX staff for the care of up to 144 youth. The position is equipped with the authority and autonomy to shape the future of care for youth through a system that has undergone transformational change to improve the response and treatment for youth. Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a passion to change the trajectory of juvenile justice-involved youth and have strong interpersonal and leadership skills that are matched with experiences to improve care-systems and teams working with youth. Preference is given for Master Degree applicants with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university in social work, psychology, business or public administration, or a closely related field; and six (6) years of experience in social services, guidance and counselling, intake or probation and parole, including three (3) years in a supervisory position with a social service institution or agency in a program providing services to children; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Please note this is a safety “safety sensitive” position as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8 (K)(1)(i)(2). Therefore, even for those applicants in possession of a valid medical marijuana license, testing positive for marijuana will result in non-hire, as the position requires “direct patient or direct child care”.
