Position Summary
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Cleaner Operator operates, maintains, and cleans the peanut cleaner equipment in accordance with company Safety/Food Safety requirements.

Position Responsibilities

• Monitors, cleans, and maintains the operation of all the various cleaner equipment used to separate damaged product and foreign material from good product and maintain APSA grades.
• Monitors, cleans, and maintains various pieces of equipment used to clean unshelled peanuts located in shelling plants and maintains the sanitation of the entire facility as needed.
• Extensive climbing and lifting
• Requires employees to disassemble and reassemble various pieces of equipment within the cleaning department and assist with equipment maintenance as needed
• Completes various jobs assigned to him/her daily including communicating with other colleagues regarding operation of equipment, changes in flow rates, processing capabilities, bin readings safety and maintenance issues, paperwork, sanitation, maintenance, safety assignments and food safety requirements.
• Understand ofi Peanut Shelling safety policies, work safely and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager or Safety Coordinator.
• Follow ofi Peanut Shelling Company Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) guidelines.
• Follow all ofi Peanut Shelling Company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs),

Preventive Control Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical dexterity.
• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
