Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility is searching for a Coder professional to join our Health Information Management team.
Position Description:
HIM Coders are responsible for the coding of all patient diagnosis, operations and procedures, utilizing ICD-10 Coding Classification System and, where appropriate, CPT-4 classification systems, for the purpose of internal clinical databases , quality assurance, and reimbursement. Coders will always follow the guidelines as established for correct and compliant coding and will also follow the Code of Ethics for Coding as established by the American Health Information Management Association.
Position Requirements:Education:
High School or GED required
2 Year / Associate Degree preferred
Experience:
Previous Healthcare Experience preferred
1 - 3 Years preferred
Knowledge, Skills:
Organizational and verbal communication skills required
License, Registration and/or Certification:Must have at least one of the following certifications:
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
