Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00

Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervising daily food production to ensure that standards of quality are being met consistently and maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management of the kitchens including the coordination of all cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Provide oversight and enforcement of Food Hygiene and Safety Standards.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring portions and waste while coaching team to minimize losses.
- Responsible for stock management and ordering in line with budgets and targets.
- Works with the General Manager and F&B Manager on the development of restaurant menus.
- Ensuring the standard for food offerings is upheld to the expected quality.
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure proper inventories are kept on all prep items.
- Oversee that the storage of food is done in line with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Ensures maintenance and cleaning schedules are followed for all kitchen equipment.
- Support and develop kitchen staff.
- Train and cross-train personnel.
- Expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and changing applicable health and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple kitchens Must have previous kitchen supervisory experience
- Knowledge of modern inventory and recordkeeping practices and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Knowledge of budgetary principles and practices
- ServSafe Certification
- Skilled negotiator
Work Environment:
- Time spent in an office setting
- Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
