PAY RANGE: $80,787.20 to $98,737.60 annually

JOB SUMMARY: The Dental Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and overseeing the clinical, operational, and program activities and staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure delivery of customer-focused, efficient, and quality patient care. The Dental Services Manager will create and lead a synchronized environment, rich with information and communication, that streamlines patient experience, provides support and direct supervision of staff while maximizing the use of health center resources. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor’s Degree in health administration or related field or minimum of five years progressive related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Must have experience as a Dental Assistant or as a Supervisor of DA’s.
- Work experience in a Community Health Center environment preferred.
- Computer and data entry skills required; electronic health record system preferred.
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- Must have strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
- Strong organizational, planning and delegating skills required.
- Valid Drivers’ license required.
KNOWLEDGE OF WORK
1. | Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers and the key health center principles and guidelines |
2. | Ability to supervise, lead and develop staff |
3. | Knowledge of state and federal regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, JCAHO, and OSHA |

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. | Personnel Management: Responsible for time keeping, education of staff, evaluations, employee counseling, and other management responsibilities as needed |
2. | Manage multiple satellite clinics in Napa and Solano counties |
3. | Facilitate patient access to services and programs |
4. | Monitor all provider schedules in electronic health record |
5. | Maintain an accurate visit status of all patients checked in/out |
6. | Act as point of contact for providers and staff regarding troubleshooting issues related to clinic flow (i.e. lab codes, work flows, translation services, supplies, etc.) |
7. | Performs Front Office duties as assigned or as needed to support care team staff |
8. | Facilitate and lead the training and orientation of new DA/RDA staff |
9. | Conduct back office audits including checking for expired medication and updating logs of facility audits |
10. | Maintenance of budget, including the purchases of dental equipment, to meet the needs of the dental department |
11. | Oversee and assist with the center’s cash handling procedures, make bank deposits, reconcile balances, see that documentations are provided to Finance department in a timely and accurate manner |
12. | Perform auditing, reporting and process improvement for Quality Assurance measures |
13. | Performs other duties as assigned |
